MPCBL0030 : AdvancedTCA Single Board Computer

Diversified Technology, Inc.'s Focused COTS approach has never been more apparent than with the recent announcement surrounding Intel's MPCBL0030.  DTI and Intel have signed an agreement to allow for continued sales of Intel’s MPCBL0030 (Thermopolis) CPU Blade by transitioning the product and all existing inventory to DTI. The MPCBL0030 AdvancedTCA board was designed and manufactured by DTI exclusively for Intel, and this agreement allows DTI to continue to manufacture and support the product for new and existing users.  This also allows DTI to design additional follow-on products. In the agreement, DTI also takes on support and warranty services for all MPCBL0030 products originally sold by Intel.  This displays DTI's true commitment to AdvancedTCA and our policy of leading the customer through the full life-cycle of their program. 

DTI does not believe in forcing uncontrolled upgrades on customers by dropping “legacy” products – especially when those products may be a core aspect of a customer’s system.  This helps our customers keep their deployment costs low and provides stability in product lines.  We develop relationships and through our cohesive approach DTI works hand-in-hand with the customer so that they aren't left alone to battle technology changes.

DTI’s cohesive approach is, at it’s heart, a technological partnership beyond simple required support and the realization that our success depends on the success of your applications.  This friendship leads debug efforts with quality and urgency, focusing on timely, relevant answers to all issues.  These debug efforts culminate with fixes, work-arounds, and solutions which are easiest to field implement; not simply with identifying the guilty.  Our goal is to grow this partnership into a special relationship where part of the verification of our next generation products are tested by with your application running in our lab.  This ultimate relationship, a sort of technological partnership nirvana, exists when a Focused COTS supplier like DTI can actually be looked upon as an extension of your engineering team. 

By reducing your deployment costs by continued manufacturing and support of so-called “legacy” products, as well as by forming a deep understanding of your application and requirements, DTI focuses on bringing all areas of engineering and support to the market.  Our products are not driven by pressure of “line reductions” by stock holders nor are they driven by an imagined ROI goldmine in a hot market – they are determined by our customers’ needs.  The acquisition of Thermopolis simply proves this.

The Intel NetStructure® MPCBL0030 is a 64-bit single board computer with outstanding performance that is compliant with the Advanced Telecom Computing Architecture (AdvancedTCA) specification. The product features Intel® Extended Memory 64 Technology (Intel® EM64T) on dual 2.8 GHz Low Voltage Intel® Xeon® processors for compute-intensive telecommunications applications. Quad Gigabit Ethernet ports are provided for high bandwidth application connectivity to meet the demanding connectivity requirements of telecommunication services and applications.
