Diversified Technology's TM1460A rear transition module expands external connectivity with additional ingress/egress ports to the ATS1160 or the ATS0020 hub board. These ports can be used to link AdvancedTCA shelves or provide connectivity to networks outside the shelf. All of the ports support Link Aggregation for larger bandwidth and high availability. All ports are available when used with the ATS1160 while the PICMG 3.1 Fabric ports are not functional with the Base only ATS0020 hub.

There are 7 ports on the PICMG 3.0 Base network and 8 ports on the PICMG 3.1 Fabric network (ATS1160 only). The TM1460A also provides rear management connections. Using this RTM the ATS1160 or the ATS0020 can be fully managed without ever plugging into the front board. The TM1460A features a single management 10/100 Ethernet port that links to both the Base and Fabric (ATS1160 only). In addition, the board features 2 serial RS-232 ports, one to manage Base, the other for Fabric (only the base port is functional with the ATS0020).

While a minimum of 100LFM of airflow is recommended, the TM1460A has heatsinks to support shelves without active RTM cooling.
