Diversified Technology’s PlexSys-4D, 4U general purpose CompactPCI PSB System Platform, is part of DTI’s CompactPCI family of building blocks. It provides telecom, datacom, and military customers an open standards ecosystem for application solutions development.

The PlexSys-4D is a rugged industrial enclosure which features an 8-slot transversely mounted midplane with one system master and seven peripheral slots (Note: other midplane configurations are available upon request). The easily removable fan tray, with six high volume, high pressure fans, provides enhanced side to side cooling. The PlexSys-4D has two 300W front removable power supply modules which may be used as a single 600W supply or 300W redundant supply. When used in 600W mode, there is sufficient power and cooling for up to seven 75W SBCs and the PSB Switch. The standard product ships with universal AC supplies, but kits are available for conversion to 48V or 24V DC input.

The PlexSys-4D is available with two removable 2.5” drives and a slim DVD which may be cabled internally to DTI’s rear transition boards.
